Discover Mongolia Supports World Vision
For every tour booked on the Discover Mongolia website, World Vision Mongolia will receive three US dollar which will help Mongolian Childhood Development and Education programmes. World Vision is a Christian relief and development organization dedicated to helping children and their communities worldwide reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty.
World Vision was founded in 1950 by Robert Pierce whose heart was deeply moved by the plight of children and families in the Korean war when large numbers of children were orphaned. The USA office was established and for a number of years it singlehandedly developed the work until the Australia, Canada, UK and NZ offices were set up.
In Southeast Asia, the urgency of the work was prompted by the plight of the "Boat People" fleeing Vietnam. Many perished in stormy seas and attacks by unfriendly forces. World Vision embarked on Operation Seasweep in May 1978 to help prevent this needless loss of life.
World Vision is a Christian humanitarian relief and development organisation working in some 100 countries across the globe. For us children come first and our vision is that they live life in all its fullness - and where they don’t, we aim to change hearts and wills to make it happen.
World Vision’s working style is to partner with children and their communities in some of the poorest parts of the earth to together improve lives and combat poverty.
In times of crisis World Vision also responds to natural and man-made humanitarian disasters that so badly affect the young, their families and communities, with emergency aid and assistance.
