What We Do: Leaving a Positive Mark

At Discover Mongolia Travel, we believe travel should give back. That’s why we created the 5 Finger Foundation. Over the years, our team has loved showing up where we’re needed most—whether that meant organizing blood donation drives during summer shortages, delivering new kitchen equipment to a children’s center in Khentii, or bringing a live circus show to kids in Ulaanbaatar. For us, responsible travel means leaving something genuinely good behind.

This Year’s Plan: Growing a Sanctuary

This year, we are partnering with the National Cancer Council of Mongolia and their Koala Project, which supports brave young children and their families facing cancer. Together, our goal is to plant as much trees as we can by October, 2026.

Where Are We Planting?

We are planting a small forest directly surrounding the hospital grounds of the National Cancer Council.

Hospital waiting rooms can be heavy and exhausting. We want to create a living, green sanctuary right outside those doors. We are planting these trees to give children a shaded spot to rest between treatments, and to give their parents a quiet, peaceful place to breathe and gather strength.
