Believe me. There is so much to say! I mean, where to start?

Beautiful summer scenes, Mongolian culture, typical nomad families, and their daily lives. The purest and eternal love between a mother and her child, unkind shadow of war and its damage to every soul during war time. All in one movie! The film cast was exceptionally amazing especially the little girl who was 8 years old at that time.

The film was inspired by the novel “Eternal Call” by D.Norov and released in 2001.

The only son of this family Deleg goes to war and hasn’t contacted with his family for four years. Even though many men was after her, his wife keeps the promise to her husband and waits  faithfully while taking care of her daughter and stepmother. But life wasn’t easy for them. The mother passes away. The daughter left heartbroken and decides to stay with her grandmother even her father returned.

At the end of the film the girl hugs her father with tearful eyes and whispers in his ears, “She said, she waited for you”.

I bet there is no one watched this movie without shedding a single tear. You wouldn’t want to miss a minute!

The best novel of the 20th century “The Crystal Clear Tamir River” was Mongolian writer Lodoidamba Chadraabal’s greatest work. This must-read-book was translated into several languages, Russian, German, Japanese, etc.

Later (1970-1973), the novel was made into a movie trilogy by Dorjpalam Ravjaa. Beside the best film crew, the messages to audience were priceless. There so many lines and quotes that reveal the truth about Mongol society in the 20s and differences between wealthy and poor.

An honest man, with his wife and son goes in search of work. The family was poor but happy together. He reaches the farm of a rich breeder and becomes his servant. In order to support his family, he has to bear all kinds of humiliations against which he ultimately will rebel.

Mongolians continuously try to protect their country and freedom. One of the heroes ultimately joins the communist revolutionary camp and fight against the counter revolutionary troops recruited by Baron Ungern.

You want to hear a secret? The main plot of the novel “The Crystal Clear Tamir River” takes place around Tamir River which is located in Khangai Mountains, Arkhangai province, Mongolia. You can visit there and enjoy the beauty of nature. Perhaps you can bring the book and read it by the riverside which will make it more alive and exciting!
