The history of Mongolian communication started from 13th century. The Genghis khans developed the postal service. Mongolian modern telecommunication history started in 1898 when the first telephone communication line was laid to connect Khyahta with Daa Khuree (present Ulaanbaatar ). The first 60-line telephone network was installed in the capital city in 1914.
