Tour itinerary
Day 1. July 5. Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and City tour
After arriving in Ulaanbaatar, you will be met at the airport and transferred to a 3-star hotel. After a light lunch in the hotel, there will be a program of sightseeing in the afternoon. This will include the National History Museum, where you will see artifacts from Mongolia and Central Asia from the Stone Age to the present, and an excursion to the Zaisan Hill War Memorial to get your bearings with a panoramic view of the whole city. Dinner and overnight in the hotel. (L+D)
Day 2. July 6. Terelj National park and visit a local horsemen family
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Terelj National park (70km). You'll explore the extraordinary formation of rocks and stones; some of them look quite similar to turtles. The Terelj National Park incorporates parts of Khentii Mountain Range. Overnight in tourist camp. (B+L+D)
Day 3. July 7. See the Takhi, the Asian wild horse
Early morning drive to Hustai National Park and see the Takhi, the Asian wild horse. Enjoy small hiking and photographing the charming landscape and wildlife. Visit Takhi's small museum and overnight in tourist camp. (B+L+D)
Day 4. July 8. Drive to Ugii Lake.
After breakfast drive to Ugii Lake (altitude 1387 m; surface area—25 sq. km). When you visit the lake you have some opportunity to take a boat tour and do some birding and fishing. We will play traditional games and stay overnight in a tourist camp. (B+L+D)
Day 5-6 . July 9-10. Naadam festival
Today's watch the inauguration ceremony of Naadam which is opened by a Governor of town, before attending the horse races taking
place outside the Karakorum. Then see the Naadam Festival including wrestling, horse racing, archery and traditional games. Overnight
in tourist camp near Orkhon river. (B+L+D)

Day 7. July 11. Visit Erdenezuu and Karakorum
Breakfast at the tourist camp, continue driving to Karakorum, the symbolic ruins of the 13th century capital of the Mongol Empire. On the way you will see Khusuu Tsaidam, a Turkic inscribed monument of the Turkic State (6th – 8th Centuries A.D). Visit Erdene-Zuu, the oldest monastery, with 108 stupas, built in 1586. Overnight in tourist camp. (B+L+D)
Day 8. July 12. Visit Ongi Temple
After the breakfast we will drive to Ongi Temple which had about thousand lamas. It is a ruin of big monastery Bari Yonzon Hamba on the bank of river. On the way we will enjoy the vast steppe of the country. Overnight in the tourist camp. (B+L+D)
Day 9. July 13. Visit Bayanzag, the land of dinosaur
Today we will drive to Bayanzag, (known as a Flaming Cliffs where the first nest of dinosaur eggs ever discovered was found in 1922.) a site famous for the remains of dinosaur which lived here 60 million years ago. You can walk around where dinosaurs once roamed and see saksaul trees and other classic desert vegetation. Overnight in the tourist camp. (B+L+D)
Day 10. July 14. Mongolian largest sand dunes
After breakfast at the camp you will be driven to Khongor Sand Dune. These are Mongolia's largest sand dunes, reaching a height of 800 meters in some areas. The sand dunes change color with each hour of the day, from yellow to silver to rose-colored at (dawn/ sundown). Overnight in tourist camp. (B+L+D)
Day 11. July 15. Free relaxing and Camel ride through sand dunes
Today you will be riding on camels to explore the Khongor Sand Dunes. The two-humped Bactrian camels are very comfortable to ride as they walk slowly and gently, and you will be well supported by the humps, sitting comfortably between them. Our camel man will lead you safely through the sand dunes. Plus, you will have an opportunity to visit a camel herdsman’s family to discover their way of life, their culture and traditions. Overnight in tourist camp. (B+L+D)
Day 12. July 16. Visit Eagle valley
Today’s destination is Yolyn Am, or ‘Eagle Valley’. Take a trip to Yol Am – a wonderfully picturesque place with ice even in summer, and surrounded by sheer rocky walls, forming incredible canyons. Visit Gobi museum. These areas are situated in the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park that encompasses the "Three Beauties" peaks and the most easterly points of the Altai Mountains. Overnight in tourist camp. (B+L+D)
Day 13. July 17. Fly back to Ulaanbaatar and city tour options
After breakfast will have a flight back to Ulaanbaatar. You may choose an optional city tour where you will be taken to souvenir and cashmere shops before enjoying an evening concert of National Folklore. Then a farewell dinner and overnight at the hotel. (B+L+D)
Day 14. July 18. Departure Mongolia.
After breakfast, you will be transferred from your hotel to the airport. (B)
