How are you?

I just want you to know how much I have enjoyed my trip and the Naadam Festival.
You have a fascinating country so beautiful and magic. I have enjoyed every moment of it, the country side, the mountains, the great plains of the Gobi desert, the colors and  the incredible herds of animals so peaceful in the pastureland, so much beauty.
What to say about Bataa, Batbaatar, my driver, he deserves a gold medal for the knowledge of his land, for his kindness, for his patience and his smile.

And Gunjee, Gunjidmaa my guide, so pleasant. She knew every little corner and patch of land and mountains and animals that we saw. She had a good sense of humour and so much patience.
There was also Oscar, Osokhsaikhan the athletic chauffeur, very pleasant and also very funny.

Thinking about it, they all deserve a gold medal.
And you, Oyunaa, you are a big part of all the organization.

Dear Barsbold,

I had a fantastic trip and would like to compliment your staff on the excellent work they had done to arrange the trip. I appreciate the all the extra effort that Oyunaa , Zorigoo and Baggie did to make my trip an experience of a lifetime. I originally signed up for the Chinggis Khaan Horse Trek which unfortunately no other people signed up for. As a result Oyunaa rearrange my trip to be a custom trip in which I saw and experienced much more of Mongolia and your culture than I expected. With Baggie as the guide and Zorigoo the driver, I got to experience the part of Mongolia that few tourist get to see, "your Mongolian culture first hand." I felt truly welcomed at every Ger Camp we stayed in and everyone treated me as a friend. Both of them helped me understand your fascinating culture and to learn your language and always willing to take time to explain points of interest.

As a horseman, some of the best memories of the trip were to be galloping a horseback alongside local herders laughing and enjoying each other’s company because we both were horseman from different cultures. Seeing the Takhi horses first hand was an opportunity that few people experience. Riding double humped camels was a one in a live time experience that I am glad to have done, though I will stick to riding horses.

I would like to personally thank Oyunaa, Zorigoo and Baggie and whoever else help my trip. They treated me much better than just a tourist, I am very happy to have met them. They are truly special people and I a glad they are now my friends.

I already miss Mongolia and am planning to return.

Oyuna,

I wanted to express our thanks to Black Ibex for a wonderful time in Mongolia.

Mongolia is a beautiful country and we enjoyed our time there.  Our guides and drivers did an excellent job.  Boothero gave us an insight into your country and your people, as well as keeping us informed about our itinerary.  Zerogo did a great job in getting us to our destinations.  We thought the selection of the tourist camps was good, as the accomodations and service were very good.

Bill and I had a fabulous time (it’s been a bit difficult settling back into normal life), Eddie and Rentsen looked after us very well. Mongolia is a very beautiful place and the people are very friendly, and we will certainly be telling our friends and family and encouraging them to visit.

I'm now back home after spending 2 weeks in Mongolia. I had a great time, and my friend is also very happy with everything. We went for the Naadam Festival/Gobi desert tour and also a week tour to West Mongolia visiting eagle-hunters. If you need some more feedback on these tours, please let me know. We would like to come back, but need to wait for some more vacation days....

Thank you very much for the lovely trip and the good organization of my trip in Mongolia in July and I would like to loudly recommend the excellent and courteous friendly efficient organization by Oyuna the chief manager of Black Ibex Co. I deeply appreciate her kindness and care to gather the program and her patience of different kind of problems to reorganize the entire trip to be pleasant.  I had a great experience in Mongolia and certainly I will recommend to my friends here in the USA to experience same pleasure I had.  Further, I would like to extend my thanks to Black Ibex driver G. Just a line to say what a wonderful time we had in Mongolia.  Everything was perfect.  Our guide, Bugghi (Sp.?) was great, as was our driver with the beautiful singing voice.  The night in the ger was fun; thank you for suggesting it.  Although we went to other countries, Mongolia was our favorite.

Now that I have had some time to process my amazing journey with you through the Discover Mongolia tour June 26-July 10, 2007 I would like to write to thank you for a totally engaging experience.

From the time our guide Gunjee picked us up at the airport (from a very late arriving flight from Bejing) to the time you dropped us back there at 5 am in the morning 21 days later the arrangements and care you took of us were first rate. 

The trip was well planned, the Ger camps beautifully situated and the food very good (much better than expectations), and your services exactly as you described them.  But I want to particularly thank the people on the front lines who made this all come to pass.

Gunjee, our guide made every effort to honor our requests, and was extremely flexible during the entire trip.  She was always willing to go out of her way to try to meet our needs and helped us learn much about your fascinating culture.

All three of our drivers (Usku, Bulgaa and Bayar) were fabulous drivers and fun to be with.  Your company is very lucky to have them as part of your team.

Although I was initially a bit concerned about making all of the arrangements over the internet with only e-mail contact, my concerns were unfounded.  You have my permission to give my name and e-mail address to anyone asking for a reference.

Keep up the good work.  You have a wonderful country and show it well!!

RE: Western Mongolia Motorcycle tour

We have just returned from Novosibirsk.  Everything is OK, everybody is in a good condition, no accidents- this is very important. Now we can say that our mototour in Western Mongolia had a success. We saw a lot, we drove a lot and we had a lot of fish. Many thanks to your team- to Vasia, cook Kimchig, to drivers. All of them did their best to make this trip good for us. All local people were very friendly to us. Later I'll send you some photos of our trip.

Hope to have trip from Ulan-Ude  to Tashanta next year with your company.

Dear Black Ibex,

The Malone family would like to thank you for organising such an amazing trip for us.  Your company was very professional concerning all aspects of our trip.  Our tickets were purchased and arrived safely to us prior to our trip.  Our visa process was simplified as you had done the preliminary work.  Our guide was waiting for us at the airport with the car and driver.  All accommodations, meals and transportation were handled and we simply just had to enjoy our trip.

We saw so much of Mongolia and were amazed at the vast beauty of the country.  The ger camps were exciting and fun.  The food was very good throughout the whole trip and having everything organized ahead of time gave us more time to simply enjoy our stay.

I would like to send a special thank you to Gana and Bulgaa, our guide and driver.  Gana was knowleadgeable about Mongolia and its history.  He was very professional, polite and took care of everything for us.  However, as we were traveling with two small children, he was far more than just a good guide.  He was so helpful, patient and kind with the kids. 

Bulgaa was also wonderful.  He was a very good driver, helped whenever we needed it and was such fun with the kids.  Both Gana and Bulga made the trip so much more fun for the kids.

Mongolia was truly beautiful, but I can't say enough how much more special it was for us (and especially our children) having Gana and Bulgaa with us.  I hope you take good care of them and keep them with your company and I would highly recommend them to anyone traveling to Mongolia with Black Ibex.

We will be telling all our friends about our trip and will pass along your company name with a strong recommendation to use Black Ibex when traveling to Mongolia.

Discover Mongolia Extensive Trip

I found the Black ibex guide (Bagi) and drivers and wranglers and, indeed, pretty much everyone I encountered on the trip very friendly and helpful and willing to accommodate our needs and wishes. I really enjoyed visiting the Black market with Bagi the first day - I really appreciated his helping me to find a sleeping bag and Mongolian boots, because mine hadn't arrived.

I liked Bayan Gul (spelling?) a lot. I liked our riding equipment, and I enjoyed many of the activities a great deal- dancing under the stars and watching the wrestling show at Bayan Gul. I liked the farewell ceremony we had around the table at Bayan Gul.

I liked the cook's cooking. I liked the Mongolian barbecue and the restaurant meals. I really appreciated the cook's willingness to make me vegetarian fare.

I liked my horse and thought all the horses were good horses, not spoiled by tourists, full of energy and not resistant. I appreciated the owner's coming to meet us before we left and after we got back. I thought the costumes were well done and looked authentic.

I loved the country side, and enjoyed stopping in to visit families, and tasting fresh baked bread and eirag and the yogurt and cheese.  

I enjoyed visiting the National park- I thought the ger camp there was excellent. I found my tent very satisfactory.

In general, I thought the trip was a wonderful experience. I loved the Moon Stone dance and throat singing event, which I hadn't expected to.

China & Mongolia Wonders + Beauty of Mongolia tour

I just returned from my Mongolia trip and wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed the experience. The tour was well organized, the people were gracious and welcoming, and the country was all I had dreamed of. I want to thank the Black Ibex people I dealt with--Khongoroo, who handled the preliminaries of the trip with such efficiency, the guides, and the drivers, Ooka and Dashka, who gave astounding performances on sometimes muddy and seemingly impassible roads.

Above all, I want to congratulate you on having on your staff a guide as competent and charming as our principal guide, Gunjee, who did her utmost to accommodate the needs of the members of the group and keep them happy.

I found her to be well versed in explaining the history and customs of your great country, and she made me want to return, one day, to Mongolia and explore more of your country's glorious past and present.
